A moment captured for a life on paper
Eric works with renowned print studios out of New York and Boston to bring his images to life.

When cared for properly, archival pigment and silver gelatin prints can last for over a century.

Modern printmaking, refined

Pigment prints utilize state-of-the-art digital technology and high-quality pigment-based inks to achieve striking reproductions. A digital image is applied directly onto the paper using precision inkjet printers, ensuring both image quality and longevity.

Vision meets the surface

Archival papers differ in weight, material, and texture. A paper is chosen to best suit the intent of the piece, from satin finishes to enhance rich shadows and colors, to handmade Japanese rice paper that offers a more textured and vintage feel.

Classic craftsmanship

Silver gelatin prints are made with traditional darkroom techniques dating back to the early 1900s. An emulsion of light-sensitive silver salts coats the photographic paper. When exposed to light, the image is formed, which is then developed in chemical baths.

Depth and detail

The gelatin layer coating the print captures intricate textures and details in an image. Pieces reveal deep blacks and high contrast, with a wide tonal range and a level of dimensionality to the image. The look of a silver gelatin print is distinct from any other.

PLATINUM-PALLADIUM PRINTS

Traditional techniques create a lasting legacy.

These distinctive pieces are brought to life in collaboration with one of the world's leading platinum-palladium studios.

IMPACTFUL

"Legacy Edition” was inspired by the longevity that platinum prints embody.
It was born from the hope that the subjects and scenes captured in the images—much like the pieces themselves—will be around for many lifetimes to come.
In this spirit, 10% of any sale will be donated to a charity or foundation related to the photograph.

Printmaking of yesteryear, today

Platinum-palladium printing originated in the 19th century. It is a manual process requiring some of the rarest metals on earth and extensive preparation and craftsmanship.

A digital photograph is converted to a negative of the image, which is used to create a black-and-white print through this traditional contact printing method.

Enduring—for millennia

When cared for properly, a platinum-palladium print has an archival rating of over 1500 years.

The noble metals used allow for the print's durability. When ultraviolet light is exposed through the digital negative onto the chemical solution, platinum particles become physically embedded in the fibers of the paper. These particles form the image, which is then developed in a chemical bath.

TIMELESS TONES

Rich blacks, soft grays, and detail in shadows are unmatched, even by modern inkjet printers. The smooth tonal transitions and warmer appearance create a print that is uniquely platinum.

Black brush strokes around the edge of the image from the chemical application reveal the handmade nature of the piece—no two will ever be the same.
Legacy Edition prints can be produced up to 44'' x 96'' (111.9 x 243.8 cm).
